Tokyo Cafe - Mall of Asia

>> Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Tokyo Cafe in MOA offers a relatively competitive food prices, a wide range of delicious sandwiches, burgers, pizza and pasta!

I personally can get intimidated by posh places and fancy decorations that pretty much boasts a high end restaurant. And perhaps that's the reason why I haven't tried this restaurant for the longest time. But contrary to what I see from outside, Tokyo Cafe is for everybody (you might think they only offer Japanese cuisine but you're wrong) - simple white and black furniture, friendly & totally accommodating servers and a range of specialty food to choose from at a very affordable price! Reminder though, groups (10 or more) may have a hard time trooping here because the place is a little small.

I don't have pics but they have interesting Japanese frames inside educating patrons on how to say words in Japanese, these 2 I learned recently:
Itadakimasu - "i humbly receive"
Gochisosama - "it was a wonderful feast"

corn soup - enough for two
creamy corn soup with fried tortilla strips

Teriyaki Chicken Salad with Caesar dressing
Hearty salad of lettuce, tomatoes and corn tossed with a tangy dressing, topped with chicken teriyaki strips and fried tortilla

Garlic Cream Hamburgjuicy beef burger patty topped with garlic sauce and vegetable on the sides

All Meat Pizza
their pizza can compete with any pizza parlor we have in town

Aside from all these, I go crazy over their pasta - and that's truly a must try!

If you still have room for dessert, try their choices of crepe, cheesecakes or parfaits for a delightful end to your dining experience. A simple coffee is also a surprise. Thank goodness I'm not a coffee maniac, but the addicts out there should try their 'smoogees', coffee blends and iced/hot coffee mixes.

If you head to MOA, don't forget to check out Tokyo Cafe. I'm pretty sure it won't disappoint you with your food cravings.
